Chasmatophyllum masculinum 'Hardy Tiger Jaws'

Chasmatophyllum masculinum 'Hardy Tiger Jaws'

Chasmatophyllum masculinum also know as Hardy Tiger Jaws has proven hardy in Colorado winters surviving -16F and negative teen weathers in several winters. Plants require some good drainage. They can be grown with Delosperma and Aloinopsis in a raised bed. These are Pseudo-Alpine plant from South Africa that receive really cold winters. Plants can reach 24" across and 4" tall.  Blooming occurs in late afternoon during spring and fall and have fragrant yellow flowers.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
