Agave parryi Chihuahua form 8070ft

Agave parryi from Chihuahua @ 8070ft in the Mountain pass due west of El Sauz, Chih., MX. All the plants in the wild had received damage from an early freeze in October where they went from warm to extremely cold temperatures, this is something that keeps happening to my plants in the grden. It will go from 80s to teens the next day and be the first freeze of the year. The climate of these mountains at 8000ft is not much different than the foothills of the wet mountains near my home. These plants are wider leaved than typical Agave parryi but they do not have the huachucensis appearance. The are similar looking to truncata but really are probably their own form. Good plant to trial in a zone 6. Plants were flowering at around 24inches and did not offset as prolificly as the US plants do.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
