Agave parviflora Santa Cruz co., AZ

Agave parviflora lives up to its name having small flowers and small stems and small growth. Lets just say its one of the smallest Century Plants. This is one of our favorite plants and extremely cold hardy. These have taken -22F and negative teens several times. Plants in the wild get about 6" across and are probably ancient like half a century old at blooming size. In the garden we have seen they get a little larger around 8". These are very rare in the trade and in the wild and is listed as a federally endangered species. These are all seed grown and seed came from cultivated plants.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
