Chasmatophyllum musculinum

Chasmatophyllum musculinum

Hardy Tiger-Jaws - Chasmatophyllum musculinum is a small mat forming South African succulent that is cold hardy to -20°F. The flowers smell like starburst candy and are very fragrant. Plants sprawl along the ground and can reach 10-18" across. Plants can reach 6" tall. Full sun to afternoon shade is preferred. Unlike the other South African succulents these are more tolerant of heat in summertime. They come from one if the many high elevation coastal mountains in southern Africa, they receive winter snow and summer rains.
