Cheiridopsis albirosea SB772 (Ihlenfeldtia excavata f. albirosea)

Cheiridopsis albirosea is now lumped under the taxa as a form of Ihlenfeldtia excavata f. albirosea. The seed of this seed came from near Concordia which is north of Sprinkbok, South Africa. The area receives around 5 inches of precipitation. Plants have not been any more difficult than any other in the genus. Plants tolerate water year round and or dry in winter like I treat them. So far they have survived 0F in the garden. It tolerated being coverd with snow and the summer monsoon moisture. Plants grow really slow and small starter plants are for sale in 3" pots - shipped bare-root. Plants require fast draining soil.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
