Coral Bean - Erythrina flabelliformis

Erythrina flabelliformis or Coral Bean is a native to New Mexico, Arizona and Mexico. This seed was collected in Santa Cruz Co., AZ at 5000ft (Alplains 70830.10). Plants are commonly growing in a boulder field or extremelt rocky habitat where they keep their roots cool and enjoy the extra moisture trapped by the rocks. So far plants have taken down to 2F in winter and been ok. May be one worth trying in your Cactus garden or in a pot as they get a psuedo-cadex with age. Plants are seedlings only a few months old but quite sizeable, they shipped potted and wrapped.
