Coryphantha macromeris (Pelycephora) Artesia, NM form

Coryphantha macromeris is a species from southern New Mexico into Mexico. These plants can be Giants. Stems can get 10" across and mound to 30" across. Our plants have taken -22F without damage in our garden. Plants have survived many years in our garden. Seeds were collected off giant plants growing in clay pans near Artesia, NM. This area gets hit by the artic fronts that flow down the plains. This is a very cold hardy species that gets a semi-tuberose root. Plants pictured is what is for sale.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
