Cylindropuntia x anasaziensis 'BODO'
Cylindropuntia x anasaziensis or Anasazi Cholla was named and described by our owner. It was described in the Book 'The Cactus of Colorado" by Don and Donnie Barnett. If you want a copy go to Coloradocacti.com Plants are zone 5 maybe even a zone 4 as this form came from SW colorado where it gets lots of snow and cold.
The BODO form is a creeping low cholla to 18" tall and is a sprawling cholla to 3ft across. These plants get deep purple in winter and look like Cylindropuntia whipplei in almost every way except the larger Pink flowers.
I do not guarantee these in a zone 4/5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
