Echinocereus bonkerae ssp. bonkerae Strawberry, AZ

Echinocereus bonkerae is a cold hardy species from central Arizona. Plants generally have short spines but occasionally have a few stray long centrals. Seed came from near Strawberry, AZ. These plants have taken -17F on more than one occasion and have done well in our garden. We suggest a protected place and they will reward you with a large clump. In more exposed places they stay solitary.
