Echinocereus chisoensis is MG#185.3 from Brewster county, TX. These have done fairly well for us in our garden. They get a slight tap root and are closely related to Echinocereus reichenbachii and E. palmeri. These have taken -17F in our garden but never -22F, just havent gotten that cold lately. However these seem to be shorter lived species surviving maybe 5 to 8 years in garden conditions. They will have a great or awesome year of flowering and then have a let down the next season. Try at your own risk.
