Echinocereus coccineus Albuquerque, NM 6200ft

Echinocereus coccineus Albuquerque, NM 6200ft were seed collected in the open space area on the east side of town. These plants are very cylindrical and taller than any of the northern E. coccineus forms. These plants get very spiny and produce huge amounts of flowers in spring. These plants have survived -22F and may be as hardy as the northern populations of E. coccineus. But these will also take some good bright light and very hot temps.
