Echinocereus enneacanthus var. brevispinus SB407

Echinocereus enneacanthusvar. brevispinus SB407 is one of those species that gets no respect. Not the prettiest of species but a cold hardy long running species. Seed came from Kimble county, Texas and should be very moisture tolerant. We have had these take -17F with minor red tip burning. But they grew out of it and bloomed all in the same year. Even with damage from time to time they have been in our garden for 10 years or more. Plants are 1.5-2" big
