Echinocereus fendleri hempelii

Echinocereus fendleri hempelii or Chihuahuan Hedgehog Cactus is another cold hardy species of Cactus. We offer seed grown plants from Sueco, Chih., MX. We have had plants in our garden take -11F. These are protected species in the wild and a rare plant. The plants are more touchy and not so easy to grow. Same magenta flowers as the other Echinocereus fendleri.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
