Echinocereus fendleri Santa Fe, NM 6200ft

Echinocereus fendleri or Sitting Cactus is another very cold hardy species of Cactus. We offer seed grown plants from Santa Fe, NM because they have proven to be more cold hardy than the Colorado forms. This form also gets larger and blooms more profusly. We have had lants in our garden from this location for 25 years and they have taken -22F and some serious cold.
 
I do not guarantee these in a zone 5 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
