Echinocereus fendleri var. rectispinus hybrid

Echinocereus fendleri var. rectispinus hybrid

Echinocereus fendleri var. rectispinus hybrid is from garden seed that was supposed to be pure seed but I messed up and we got open pollinated seeds. Echinocereus dasyacanthus with yellow flowers was the closest species of plant. These plants look like a cross between the 2 plants but we have many echinocereus in the garden. But both plants have taken -22F and have been hardy, these plants should be more hardy than that or more water tolerant id think. Definately worth checking out.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 4/5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
