Echinocereus stramineus

Echinocereus stramineus is one of the slowest growing species of Echinocereus. The seed for this was collected near White City, NM. This has been the most cold hardy form for me. We have had these take -11F with minor red tip burning. These more commonly die in summer from the heat. . Even with damage from time to time they have been in our garden for 10 years or more.
