Echinocereus trig. White Sands x E. moj. inermis Giant Spineless Claret Cup

Echinocereus triglochidiatus forma 'White Sands' x Echinocereus mojavensis forma inermis or Giant Spineless Claret Cup Cactus is one of the most giant hardy cactus we offer. Plants are mostly pineless but some spines still do occur just not in huge numbers. The seed for these plants came from our plants and was created several years ago by accident. Plants can get 20" tall in the garden and get a large amount of giant heads that make a mound. We dont know how wide these can get but we suspect 2-3ft wide at max. Both parents have been very cold hardy taking -22 and -17F so we would expect this plant to do better than either parent. Both plants have red or Claret colored flowers and appear in May to July and are Hummingbird Magnets.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
