Glottiphyllum linguiforme

Glottiphyllum linguiforme from Mesa Garden seed that originated from the Heimersrivier. I grew these because they are the only genus that will hybridize with Delosperma and these are semi-cold hardy and semi-drought tolerant. They definately do not like above 100F for long periods of time.  These weird green tongues get huge yellow flowers and grow just oddly enough ill keep growing them. These plants are 4 years old and I have had very little luck crossin them with delosperma. Mostly because the heat here in Pueblo curbs the flowers here that they and the Delosperma do not line up well. Ive had them survive -2F on our mild winter but none survived -11F. Try at your own risk in the garden but these make weird interesting potted plants that everyone askes me about.
