Grusonia clavata San Ysidro, NM 6000ft

Grusonia clavata or Dog cholla is a real nice plant than can make mats up to 3ft across, they more commonly are 18". Plants have taken -22F many times and have been a real strong grower for us. This is the smaller headed plant as there is a large form that grows much slower. These were cuttings taken in 2021 summer off our large plant and should have real good roots and should grow nicely. Yellow to orange flowers in June. The original plant was from San Ysidro, NM.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
