Mangave 'Navajo Princess'

Mangave 'Navajo Princess'

Mangave 'Navajo Princess' is a hybrid between Agave montana and Manfreda maculosa. Both these plants have performed well in a zone 7. But how much more cold can they take. So far Mangave 'Navajo Princess' has survived 0F in our garden in Pueblo Colorado growing side by side with Aloe aristata. Winter moisture does not seem to be as big of a deal as it is to the Aloe. Nut regardless this is a plant to try in a zone 6 or more. They really like moisture when it gets hot, and you can almost watch them grow in front of your eyes. Plants can get 30" wide and 20" tall, real nice variegation. Plants offered are in 3.5" pots (shipped bare-root).

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
