Opuntia basilaris x Opuntia polyacantha

Opuntia basilaris x Opuntia polyacantha came out of garden in Gunnison, CO. We have had this plant in our garden for 20 years, they have proven cold hardy taking -22F and -17F several times. Plants can get 12" tall and 4ft wide. This Beavertail look alike is the most moisture tolerant beavertail we offer and probably the most cold/wet tolerant. Plants have survived a few winters in Iowa.
 
I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
