Opuntia 'BIG Butterflies'

Opuntia 'BIG Butterflies' is a select hybrid of Opuntia aurea produced by Tom Jesch at Waterwise Botanicals. This plant differs from typical "butteflies being much larger stems and still flowering majorly. These have proven cold hardy in our Colorado garden taking -17F and not getting any damage. Plants can get 2ft tall and 3ft wide. In colder climates they will not get the height. These plants will occasionally rebloom in late summer. The plants for sale are rooted pads in 4" pots.
 
I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
